Politicians always looking for more votes on election day, push the ridiculous idea that illegal aliens should have driver’s licenses because that way they will have to pass a driving test and have vehicle insurance. So, politicians want the public to believe that they are doing what’s in their best interests by giving criminals a means to vote as they drive to their jobs that used to belong to American citizens. Remember, since 2000 nearly all new jobs have gone to illegal aliens.
Some politicians even publicly pat themselves on the back for doing their homework and passing a resolution to show support for people who are in Pennsylvania illegally, taking the jobs of Pennsylvania citizens, but still paying taxes. “Undocumented workers in this state have paid $134 million annually in taxes,” said Easton (Pennsylvania) Mayor Panto. Well Mr. Mayor, how much have they taken in welfare payments, city/state/federal services, food stamps, earned income tax credit, and in-state college tuition? Don’t forget that since illegal aliens have menial jobs, when they file income taxes, they get a refund, which is additional money coming from government. It has been repeatedly proven that illegal aliens provide no economic benefit, even if they are paying taxes.
Some states, such as North Carolina and the District of Columbia, claim their driver’s licenses can’t be used for voting.
Two Columbia University professors, Richard Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, both lifelong members of Democratic Socialists of America, wrote an article that appeared in the May 1966 Nation magazine titled “The Weight of the Poor.” They detailed their scheme for proposing to use grassroots radical organizations to push ever more strident demands for public services at all levels of government. They predicted the result would be “a profound financial and political crisis” that would unleash “powerful forces … for major economic reform at the national level.”
They successfully implemented their strategy by creating a succession of radical organizations, the most well-known one being Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN). Their most significant achievement was the National Voter Registration Act of 1993, known as the Motor Voter Act, which was signed into law by Bill Clinton in 1993 with Cloward and Piven standing behind him.
ACORN was one of the chief drivers of high-risk mortgage lending that eventually led to the financial crisis. But the Motor Voter Act was another component of the strategy. It created vast vulnerabilities in our electoral system, which ACORN then exploited. ACORN has been involved in numerous vote registration scandals throughout the U.S.
The Motor Voter Act has also been used to open another vulnerability in the system: the registration of vast numbers of illegal aliens, who then reliably vote Democrat. When someone fills out an application for a driver’s license, there is a box to check if they want to be added to the voting eligibility list. It is federal law to have a check box for voter registration for all federal programs. When signing up for the Affordable Care health insurance (Obamacare), you can have your name added to the voter registry. On voting day, all an illegal alien has to do is show up at their polling place, present their valid driver’s license, and vote. At a polling location, the workers only check to make sure the driver’s license is valid. They have no mechanism for verifying if the person is a citizen and eligible to vote.
If you were living illegally in a country that lets you take the jobs of its citizens, gives you free healthcare, food stamps, and other social services, which political party would you vote for? Would you vote for the party that provides these benefits to criminals, or the party that tries to stop these handouts?
Currently more than 10 states (California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and the District of Columbia) allow illegal aliens to have driver’s licenses. Most of these states are controlled by Democrats. Amazingly, on November 4, 2014, Oregon voted to repeal their law giving drivers licenses to illegal aliens.
If you like the way your state is being managed (or mismanaged); if you like not being able to find a job; if you like Obamacare and how it has radically increased healthcare costs; and if you like being taken care of by the government (remember: what the government giveth, the government can taketh away), then do nothing. If you don’t like your current lifestyle, then take action!
